Three in Lake Charles Charged with Operation of Meth Lab
Deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon W. Treadway, 21, Brian H. Treadway, 39, and Jennifer L. LaPrime, 23, all of Lake Charles, at the Highway 14 Wal-Mart after being found to be in possession of stolen merchandise. After further investigation it was found that the three were operating a crystal meth lab.
After their arrest Brandon Treadway was discovered to be in possession of marijuana and methamphetamines, and LaPrime was found to be carrying methamphetamines and several pieces of drug paraphernalia. More methamphetamines were discovered later in Treadway’s vehicle.
Detectives from the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) were dispatched to a mobile home on Pujol Road found to be connected with the trio. Inside detectives discovered several chemicals that are consistent with creation or operation of a clandestine lab. Haz-Mat was then dispatched to dismantle and clean up the meth lab.
All three were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with the creation/operation of a clandestine lab; possession of CDS II (meth); possession of drug paraphernalia; and theft under $500. Brandon Treadway was with a separate possession of marijuana charge.
Brian Treadway was released on a $4,000 bond set by Judge Robert Wyatt. While Brandon Treadway’s bond is set at $6,500 and LaPrime’s bond is $5,500, both set by Judge Clayton Davis.
