Mayor’s Progressive Park Adventure Day to Take Place on July, 12
June 30, 2012 9:29 PM The Olympics are coming to Lake Charles in the way of a fun-filled day of events known as the Mayor’s Progressive Park Adventure Day on Thursday, July 12, 2012. Taking place at the Lake Charles Civic Center from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., the event will encourage families to engage in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.
The free event will kick off with the lighting of a torch, and an Olympic style torch run around the Coliseum. After the opening ceremonies activities such as a fitness expo, three legged race, scooter racing, bowling, basketball shootout, and more will take place.
