Kelly Clarkson Covers TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ Live
With the amount of covers Kelly Clarkson has been doing on her tour lately, we can hardly keep up. Sure, she announced that she’d be doing a ‘fan request’ portion during her shows, but girl, chill! There are so many great covers Kelly has done to choose from, and TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ has made it to the top of our list!
The singer performed the hit TLC song in Bristow, Virginia and to switch things up from her other covers, she enlisted the help of three backup singers and a dancer. Oh, and we should mention that the backup dancer is actually one of Clarkson’s band members, talk about a talented multi-tasker!
Before beginning the song, she was kind enough to introduce the singers and dancer who’d be assisting her, and also asked for help from the crowd. “Alright, here we go! Sing with us, ya’ll!” said and clearly enthusiastic Clarkson before jumping into an acoustic version of ‘No Scrubs.’ Seriously, major props to the backup dancer for actually dancing to an acoustic version of a song!
